Sports Leadership Awards

St Bernard's High School and Arts College offer students the opportunity to achieve Levels 1 and 2 of the Sports Leadership Awards Scheme.  Level 1 is available for Year 10 students who are studying GCSE Physical Education and Level 2 is for Year 12 students (see below).  Each programme consists of a practical, non-exam course during which assessments are made upon the candidates' abilities to demonstrate their leadership skills in their chosen activity over a certain period of time.  Throughout the course, candidates will be given the opportunity to develop their skills in organisation and communication by planning and leading a sporting activity within the community, which in turn allows them to gain confidence.
